Days 11,12,13 and 14 June, the team from 1997 to 1998 Beginners attended the 24th International Competition Città di Torino, which took place in the Park Ruffini.
The tournament saw the participation of many teams from different parts of Italy and some from abroad (Slovenia).
Our boys were in the group A and were compared with BREG (Trieste / Slovenia), energy (the women's team in Torino) and Chieri.
The first game was played on 11 against the BREG. After a balanced start, the greater athleticism and technical preparation of the opponents got the upper hand and our boys were not able to go over to an honorable defeat 32-51 against a team which then will be classified in second place in the tournament. On April 12
face energy, the meeting, although more balanced than the previous day, he sees us always playing catch up in the result. Our attack is not just struggling to make baskets, and efforts were often thwarted by a non-attentive defense with easy baskets given to the opponent that weakens our kids. Saturday 13 CHIERI we play with access to the final round from the 9th to 12th place and avoid the challenge for the "black shirt". In the afternoon we play the ninth against BORGARO team, we know well, already faced a couple of times in friendlies during the season. Let's start not as intense as the morning, we experienced foul trouble, so much so that Shell and Maggi must catch his breath quickly because burdened with three fouls. The BORGARO takes off and closed the first half to lead 19-11. Early in the third period the boys expect to play with greater intensity and gradually moving towards the enemy until you get just two points. The occasion the hang-up is missed on several occasions for shooting fouls in action that our players were unable to capitalize with the free throws.

This tournament has highlighted improvements in the team championship than just

We hope that this good performance is a good omen for the season 2009/2010.
